Other suggestions would also be welcome we're students and on a student budget. The Club is a good spot to watch from. Whilst you could wander in and just watch, it wouldn't hurt to support them and buy a couple of drinks. The place is pretty reasonable, you're not going to feel ripped off for drinks there. I know some people watch from the Marriott just south of there, but of course you should be a guest to go onto the property... Big Chill has packages as well. Sundowners also has packages. Caribbean Club would be your most economical choice. They do not have a kitchen, so if you are hungry, it is not an option. In past years, I watched them either from the Marriott or Caribbean Club, when I would go out. Now, I usually watch them from home off my balcony if I am awake that late! It gets very busy and people park all over the place along both sides of Us-1 and in the median. Folks who've been drinking crossing US-1 in the dark is never a good plan. Please be careful when you're driving through or walking across. I hate to be that boring public safety guy, but I've seen some very close calls plus 1 person get hit over the years.
